CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
introduced as a part of civil services exam in 2011 is today a qualifying paper in the Preliminary Exam. Although a qualifying paper (only 33%) the aspirant need to pay careful attention not to make any callous mistakes here.
Proper time management and practice is required for the students to make sure they score 66 marks in this paper. CSAT consists of the following sub topics:

- Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
- Decision Making.
- Basic numeracy.
- General Mental Ability
The advantage of having a good grip over this subject is that it will help those students who are also taking other central government exams like RBI Grade I Officer, CGL, EFPO, CAPF etc.
